Rick and Chris, It was good to see you both the other day...though I wish it had been under different circumstances. Sorry I couldn't stick around to catch up a little more. Calling hours are always an awkward situation because you just don't know what to say to the family. There are no good words. The best are, as you both said, "He is in a better place." My memories of "Son-dog" are very good ones, so to hear that he had passed brought me down. However, hearing you both speak about him uplifted me. Much of what you shared is how I feel about my own father. You were both raised by a very good man. Thank you for reminding me that I was too. Peace, Bart
