Condolence: Chris & Rick, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad! He is in a better place even though I know it hurts. One of the things that he taught me was to never give up! Your family has meant a lot even though we have all gone in different directions! The Legacy he has taught will be carried on! Sorry I just found out today!

Condolence: Rick and Chris,
It was good to see you both the other day...though I wish it had been under different circumstances. Sorry I couldn't stick around to catch up a little more.
Calling hours are always an awkward situation because you just don't know what to say to the family. There are no good words. The best are, as you both said, "He is in a better place."
My memories of "Son-dog" are very good ones, so to hear that he had passed brought me down. However, hearing you both speak about him uplifted me. Much of what you shared is how I feel about my own father. You were both raised by a very good man. Thank you for reminding me that I was too.
Peace,
Bart

Condolence: Rick and Chris,
It's been a long time... I was sad to receive the news of your Dad's passing. He was such a good guy. I remember once selling your dad some big zodiac pendants that he bought for both of you when I worked at my dad's jewelry store.
May all the good memories you have of him bring bring you and your families comfort at this time.
With sympathy,
Jodi (Rubinstein) Zimelman

Condolence: Please accept my condolences on the death of Sonny. While teaching at DHS, he became a good friend. We often shared our morning coffee together and reflected on the world's happenings. Sonny was a warm and sincere person. He will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Chris and Rick,
It certainly has been a long time, but I would like to express my condolences to you both. I remember all the times your Dad gave my father passes for he and I to stand on the sidelines during Timken games. He, even during games, always would give his attention to me; I was only about 9 - 11 at the time. That says a lot of what kind of man he was. On behalf of my Father (Irv), and Sister (Jodi), please know that you are both in our prayers at this time. May you and your family be well.
Jeff

Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to Sonny's family at this difficult time. In 1955, I graduated with Sonny from Central Catholic High School. In the four years at Central, we became good friends. I always looked up to Sonny and admired him for his efforts and hard work, especially playing football. Number 33 will always be remembered for being a great football player at Central Catholic. May the Lord comfort all his family in the days ahead. May eternal rest grant to Sonny, Oh Lord, and may the perpetukal light shine upon him and may he rest in peace.

Condolence From: Coach John A. Maronto
Condolence: My dear brother and great friend, I will always remember you as a coach and a man who was an inspiration to all. Through all the lifetime challenges and experiences from Massillon to Miami you inspired me and everyone we had the honor to work with and serve. Most importantly, this includes your entire family and your pride and joy, Rick and Chris, who are two manly fathers and outstanding leaders! Addie & I love you, I will miss you and we treasure the many times with you and Berlinda in Daytona Beach. Massillon Tiger Football will always remember your committment to caring about others and specifically coaching and mentoring the youth of today. The Mainland High School Football players that you got to know and visited with, considered you the "Real Deal". I treasure the moments in Massillon and I am endebted to Sonny, Cliff Wilson, Ralph and Mary Scassa, Ty Partridge, Nick and Jerri Vrotsos and many other community leaders and clubs, and all my 'very special football staff' and many others too numerous to mention at this time, for their "special leadership" that was provided to me and my family and the Massillon Football teams and Community during my tenure as Head Football Coach. God Bless you and your wonderful family and we will continue your mission to mentor and coach and have some fun along the way! Coach John A. Maronto, Addie, John Jr, Monica, Michelle, Margie & Maureen.
