Sherry P. McCreless, 61, of Florence, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Jason Moore. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. McCreless is survived by her husband, Carl McCreless of Florence; son, Brian McCreless and wife Vanessa of Honolulu, HI; brother, Larry Phillips and wife Kathy; granddaughters, Maricela & Makenzee of Honolulu, HI; aunt, Bobbie Lane Massengale; very special friend, Barbara Hopwood; brother-in-law, Larry McCreless and wife Ginger all of Florence; sisters-in-law, Connie Ramirez and husband Hector of San Antonio, TX, Pat Collins and husband Harold of Noblesville, IN.

Pallbearers will be Chris Phillips, Jamie McCreless, Eric Smith, Jimmy Myhan, Danny Robertson, and Hector Ramirez.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Brookwood Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
