Hilda Marie Higgins, 80, of Kersey, Colorado, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at North Colorado Medical Center.She was born November 4, 1922 in Concordia, Kansas to Steve and Elsie (Waite) Hale. She married John Wayne Higgins on April 20, 140 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1973. Hilda was a former resident of Kansas City, Missouri, and she had lived in the Greeley and Kersey area since 1977. She worked for Memorial Hospital in Greeley in the food services department. She retired in 1986.She was a member of the Baptist faith. She loved to do crafts, especially crocheting.Her sons, Wayne Higgins and his wife Mary Lee of Las Vegas, NV, Cary Higgins and his wife Thelma of Kersey, CO and Junius Higgins and his wife Lucille of Fort Collins, CO, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive her.Her parents, husband and 1 brother, Hayward S. Hale preceded her.A funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2003 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery.
