Mary G.  Trejo
Mary G. Trejo, 79, of Greeley, CO, passed away Friday, April 21, 2006 at North Colorado Medical Center.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2006 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2006 at First Spanish Baptist Church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Mary was born December 6, 1926 to Vincent De Leon and Margarita (Cortez-Munoz) Fuentes in Jame, Coahuilla, Mexico. She married Cesario Trejo, Jr. on March 12, 1949 in Edinburg, TX, and he died on April 9, 2006.She attended school in Mexico and had lived in Greeley since 1959. She was a nurses aid at the Edinburg Hospital in the 1940's where she met her husband. She was a homemaker for many years and worked at a nursing home in Longmont, for Kittyama Floral Farm with roses and at the turkey plant in Longmont as an inspector for 12 years, Kodak for 17 years and retired in 1992.She was kind, generous, open, loving, family centered, caring grandmother, centered in her faith, friends, gentle, caring and enjoyed visiting people. She loved attending church, was a Sunday school teacher for many years with adults, was a prayer warrior, read her Bible faithfully, enjoyed spending time with family, collecting eclectic items, eating, shopping, writing stories and poetry and singing.Surviving Mary are her sons, William Ralph Trejo of Greeley, CO, Jack D. Trejo and wife, Rebecca, of Mead, CO and Harson York Trejo and wife, Patricia, of Greeley, CO; daughters, Jean Trejo of Greeley, CO, and Peggy and husband, Larry Coryell, of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Benancio De Leon and wife, Lupe, of Saltillo, Mexico, Ramon De Leon and wife of Monterrey, Mexico and Pedro De Leon and wife, Maria, of Virginia; sisters, Dora and husband, Antonio Mata, of New Braunfels, TX, Rosa Maria Mata of Monterrey, Mexico and Dahlia Margarita and husband, Rodriguez, of New Braunfels, TX; and five grandchildren.Her parents, husband, sisters, Anita Chavez, Felicita Almaves, and Maria De La Luz-Escalon, daughter, Betty Trejo and grandson, Anthony Coryell preceded her in death.Memorials may be made to the American Hear Association or the American Diabetes Association in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
