Condolences

Condolence From: Angela Jensen (was McHenry)
Condolence: Sheilah Brooks is a name I will never forget. The fun lady up a block on Emerald Avenue in North Portland with three children and a big black dog I believe was named Sheba. Visiting the house on the corner was always a fun adventure because Sheilah was so cheerful, friendly and was always happy to see us. God Bless her memory.

Condolence From: Cassie Kottkamp, nee Schlegel
Condolence: Dear Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Sheilah's passing and particularly to learn of her Alzheimer's diagnosis at 49.

I worked with Sheilah at the Crime Prevention Bureau and remember her as a funny, irreverent and generous person. She always seemed so confident and happy and willing to take on whatever came her way with spirit and humor.

It was a troubled time in my life and I always envied Sheilah her style and verve. I am sure she had her challenging moments but I never saw them.

I know her family was important to her and she had wonderful anecdotes about her children and their escapades.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Warmly,

Cassie Kottkamp

Condolence: Unfortunately, we never had the pleasure of meeting Sheliah but we have some of the best neighbors anyone could ask for in Jeff, Christina, Shawn and Brandon. In honor of your Mother, Mother-in-law and Grandmother, we have made a donation to Alzheimers research so that her legacy can be one of healing. Peace. The Gettys

Condolence: what a terrible shock to see sheilah,s name in the obit,s. the one person who should have lived forever. i can remember her so plainly, clear back in 7th and 8th grades. i used to walk her home, with everybody else in our class, sometimes she would follow us up to 1oth street and just had to shoot hoops with the boy,s! best girl athlete at highland. i know at our age we start thinking about our past and of our old friends and it really hurts when this happens. i wish you all well and i know in life some sorrow comes along but knowning her and all the friends she made in life she was happy.

Condolence: Dear family of Sheilah - I was so sorry to hear of Sheilah's passing. I know that she had not been well for sometime but it is always hard to lose someone you love. I have such fond memories of times spent in high school with Sheilah. She was always ready for an adventure and made a simple trip to the drive in movies an hilarious event. She loved to hide in the trunk of my car supposedly to escape paying for a ticket, but it was the thrill of it all that inspired her. May she rest in peace and live on in our hearts & memories. Condolence: Dear Family of Sheilah:
My heart is heavy now with thoughts of saddness for the loss of such a memorable friend and I extend my sincere sympathy for you all. Since high school I have lived far away from Portland, but I feel fortunate for memories of her as a great friend at Jeff, how her creative wit could reduce me to belly laughs in an instant. She was so much fun, and I remember fondly the times together at school, in our homes, at Seaside and in our cars piled with girls during those fun, zany nights at the drive-in movies, Sheilah always the joy and life of the party.
I trust that your happy memories of such a gifted soul will give you joy all your lives. Sincerely, Sue
