Lorraine Aleida "Babe"  Roehs (Kile)
Lorraine “Babe” Roehs, 85, formerly of Letts, Moscow and most recently a resident of All American Care in Muscatine passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Trinity Hospital of Muscatine. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casketbearers will be Mark Bohling, Jeff Bohling, Randy James, Barry Cooling, Nolan Mente and Alan Birkhofer. Honorary casketbearers will be Junior Briggs, Danny Cox, Larry Sterner, Melvin Larion, Darold Dietz and Don Meyer. Burial will be in Letts Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation for Lorraine will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Lorraine’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for Lorraine’s family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Lorraine Aleida Kile was born on November 25, 1924 in Muscatine County the daughter of Henry and Pearl (Schmitt) Kile. On November 8, 1952 she was united in marriage to Delmar H. Roehs in Muscatine. Lorraine retired from Keller Ladder after 16 years of service. Lorraine enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, fishing and being outdoors, but most of all being with her family and friends.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by daughters, Mary Myers and husband Frank and Judy McCormick and husband Gary, both of Moscow, four grandchildren; Alicia Cooling and husband Barry, Amanda McCormick and fiancée Chris Koch, Amy Mente and husband, Nolan and Ashley McCormick and fiancée Matt Shields, one nephew, Randy James and wife Kim and one niece, Teresa Jamtgaard and husband John.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Brenda Sue Roehs and two sisters, Ruth James and Mae Garrow.
