John Jeffrey Jones, age 38, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at St. John's Health System, Anderson following an unexpected illness.

He was born October 18, 1969 in Muncie to Janie (Waters) Jones and Terry L. Jones. He lived in Michigan until 1982, when he returned to Muncie with his family. He graduated from Delta High School in 1987 and Ball State University in 1991. He was an avid University of Michigan fan. He wed Amy (Ellison) October 9, 1999 at High Street United Methodist Church. He had been operations manager at Mid-State Vending for 12 years.

Jeff will be sadly missed by his wife, Amy, and sons, Crosley and Elliott: his parents, Janie Jones, Muncie, and Terry (wife Shirley) Jones, Owosso, MI; his sister, Amanda L. Bradburn, and nephew, Brock Bradburn, both of Fishers; his step-brother, Jamie (wife Jen) Ward, and step-niece, Katie Ward, Waterford, MI. His mother-in-law, Susan Ellison, Muncie; father-in-law, Kent (wife Kim) Ellison, Muncie; brother-in-law, Anthony Ellison, Chicago; maternal grandparents, Gene and Mary Waters, Muncie; paternal step-grandmother, Jackie Jones, Owosso, MI; several aunts and uncles, including Jeanie Ruddick, Port Huron, MI; Janet and Rick Spaulding, Muncie; Jack (wife LeeAnn) Pherson, Muncie; Dan and Debbie Jones, Clarkston, MI; and David Jones, Noblesville; several cousins, including Casey (wife Amanda) Black-Pherson, New Albany; Chris Spaulding, Muncie; Cory (wife Shawna) Spaulding, Yorktown; Heather Spaulding, Evansville; Emily (husb Greg) Despot, Brownsburg; Alison (husb Adam) Kern, Holly, MI; and Justin Jones, Midland, MI.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Earl Jones, and Mary Vett, and his aunt; Judy Pherson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, as cremation will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the college trust fund of his children; Crosley and Elliott Jones.
