Mrs. Gracie Campbell of Cottonwood died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at her residence. She was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends John Smith and Ronald Vann officiating. Burial will follow in Madrid City Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2008. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Campbell was born April 1, 1931 in Houston County Alabama, the daughter of the late Russell Nowell and Maldur May Peacock Nowell.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Campbell, sister, Runett Lynch and two children.

Survivors include: daughters, Wanda Campbell and her husband, Phil of Pace, FL; Nina Elliott and her husband, Bob of Denver, CO; sons, Jimmy Frank Kirkland and his wife, Patti of Cario, GA; Howard Campbell and his wife, Martha of Madrid; Charles Campbell of Taylor; Bobby Campbell of Dothan; sister, Virginia Harrell of Dothan; brothers, Homer Nowell of Cottonwood; Larry Nowell of Cottonwood; James Nowell of Cottondale, FL; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be: Christopher Proctor, Josh Myers, Anthony Myers, Rusty Nowell, Tony Harrell, and Chris Cosby.
