Funeral services for Darlene Turnage, 72, of Vidalia, LA will be held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kelly Tingle and Rev. Ron Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hale Cemetery, Baskin under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Turnage was born January 29, 1936 in Mangham, LA and passed away Monday June 30, 2008 at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez. She was a resident of Vidalia, formerly of Baskin, a retired Postal Carrier, owner of her own business and cafe', and a member of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church.

She was preceded in Death by:
Husband-James Turnage, Sr.
Father-Alonzo B. Nobles, Sr.
Mother-Mamie (Weston) Nobles
infant son-Mark Turnage
Brothers-A.B. Nobles and Emmitt Nobles
Sisters-Gladys Eubanks and Estelle Stephens

Survivors include:
Daughter-Geneva T. Jordan and husband Buddy of Vidalia, LA
Son-Allen Turnage and wife Sheri of Bush, LA
Grandchildren-Jarred Jordan, Rayne Jordan, Samantha Turnage, and Katie Turnage
Great Granddaughter-Moriah Jordan
3 Brothers-James "Bo Bo" Nobles, Harvey Nobles and wife Alice, and Ronald Nobles and wife Evon
3 Sisters- Kathleen Eubanks, Dovie Gandy and husband Clinton, and Connie Burrows and husband Jerry
Host of nieces and nephews, family and friends

The Pallbearers will be Rayne Jordan, Joseph Delahoussaye,
Roger Warren, and Thomas Nobles.


The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
