Thelma L. Peller
Thelma âToniâ Peller, retired programmer at the Blaine Senior Center, died unexpectedly last Friday, February 29, in Bellingham at the age of 80. She was born December 3, 1927, in Burnaby, B.C., and grew up in Bremerton. Her adventurous life included homesteading in the far Canadian north and sailing from England to Thailand via the Panama Canal. After marrying Gene Peller in Portland in 1967 the couple went to Texas before moving to Blaine 20 years ago. The family has asked that donations be given to either Christ Community Church or the Blaine Senior Center in lieu of flowers. A potluck memorial is planned for next Thursday March 13 at 5 p.m. at the Senior Center. Those attending are asked to wear blue in Toniâs memory.
