Obituary for Peter Tkacz
Peter Tkacz, 85, of Monaca, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, March 24, 2008, at his residence.
Born June 25, 1922 in the Ukraine, he was a son of the late Dmitri and Marie Tkacz. Peter had been employed by Rheem Co. and Laidlaw Wire Co. and later, in maintenance at McGuire Home. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cecilia (Kunei) Tkacz on Dec. 21, 2007.
He leaves a son, Frank Tkacz and his wife Jean, of Lilburn, GA; four daughters, Ann Marie Rossing and her husband David, of Madison, SD; Pauline Henry and her husband John, of Monaca; Angie Tkacz of Monaca, and Marge Mowery and her husband Keith, of Dillsburgh, PA, and nine grandchildren, Matthew Henry, Becky Henry (Jeremy) Kazio, Justin and Elizabeth Tkacz, Brian (Julie) Rossing, Phillip Rossing and Brent, Sara and Rachel Mowery.
In accordance with Peter's wishes, a private viewing for the family was held at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724-728-4000), followed by interment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Ave, Monaca.
