Obituary for Cory Douglas Bish

Cory Douglas Bish was born in Galahad, AB. on Aug 19, 1963 and passed away suddenly on Dec 22, 2013 at the age of 50 years.

Cory had a gentle, giving, sensitive personality, and would often be moved to tears when hearing of someone's trials or pain. He was a diligent worker, proud of his farm, his crops, his machinery, and always enjoyed the satisfaction of a job well done. The custom work he did for others always reflected the effort he put in for his own.

Cory's love for his family and friends was so obvious to all who knew him. He always had a ready smile, and a helping hand. He took precious care of his parents and was so proud of his heritage. He loved his boys, his folks, his sister and her family. He adored his grandchildren and was a proud papa. He was quick to brag of his stepsons, and daughters-in-law, and their accomplishments. Cory and Diane spoke often, in their quiet times together, of their gratitude for each other.

Cory was predeceased by his son Ryan in 2010.

Cory is survived by his wife Diane, son Dylan, and his girlfriend Samantha Volk, his parents, Doug and Rae Bish, his sister Peggy, and her husband Bob Ruzicka, and their children Shaun and Janelle. He will be sadly missed by his stepsons Aaron Lassu, wife Trina, Mark Lassu, wife Jaclyn, Neil Lassu and his fiance Sarah. His grandchildren Avery, Andrew, Nevaeh and Ella will miss the papa they so loved. Cory also leaves to mourn his loss Diane's parents, Lorne and Jean Hamilton, and her siblings and their families, as well as a host of many dear friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Forestburg Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Stars or a charity of the donor's choice.
