Obituary for Thomas Kent "Tom" Hensinger

Thomas K. "Tom" Hensinger of Coweta, Okla., age 81, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at his home in Coweta, Okla. Tom was born on January 27, 1932 in Bellevue, Ohio and was the son of Otto Kenneth and Edith Fern (Zehring) Hensinger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Tom worked as a brick mason for 35 years until he retired in 1997. He enjoyed horses, dogs, feeding his birds and animals. Tom is survived by 5 children, Joe Allen Hensinger of Porter, Okla., Billy Kent Hensinger of Skiatook, Okla., Teri Lynn King & husband, Robert, of Sand Springs, Okla., Linda Darlene Underwood & husband, Robert, of Claremore, Okla. and Marilyn Kay Hensinger of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 1 brother, Dean Hensinger of Bellevue, Ohio; 4 sisters, Margene Hensinger of Ohio, Ilona Churchill of Ohio, Sharon Sour of Ohio and Pat Trumpover of Ohio; 1 daughter-in-law, Debra Hensinger of Otis, La.; 16 grandchildren, Matt, Marc, Scotty, Alicia, Clarissa, Brooke, Andrew, Aaron, Christian, David, Wynter, Brittney, Alex, Nicole, Brandy and Jamie; 9 great grandchildren, Meagan, Hunter, Anshelle, Katherine, Regan, Reece, Logan, Reid and Alyssa; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Thomas Earl Hensinger, his brother, Gordon Hensinger and his sisters, Gwynth and Donna.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, December 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Tom are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, December 13, 2013 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Okla. with Dr. Curtis Linton officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, Okla. Pallbearers are Billy Hensinger, Robert Underwood, Robert King, Aaron Hulse, Timothy Hulse, Linda Underwood and Alex Underwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Hulse, Scotty Hendricks and Christian Hahn.
