Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Rains Street, age 92, of Anniston, will be at 3 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston with the Reverend Dr. Mack Amis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the service hour at the church. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. Mrs. Street passed away on September 26, 2013. Mrs. Street was active in the Gadsden business community and in 1977 she relocated to Anniston. She was a long time member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. Her greatest joys in life were her faith in God and her family. Her philosophy in life was to always give more than you get and leave more than you take. Mrs. Street was preceded in death by her husbands, Malcolm Bartell Street, Sr. and Harold Montgomery Rains. Mrs. Street is survived by a son, Hal Montgomery “Monty” Rains of Birmingham; a step daughter, Martha Street Warhurst (Lavern) of Cullman; two step sons, Malcolm Bartell Street, Jr. (Sharon) of Anniston and Robert Osborne Street (Kandi) of Oxford; grandchildren, Lauren Rains Valentine (Ryen), Connor Rains, and Carly Rains, all of Birmingham, Cindy Holbrook (Jack) of Cullman, Julie Jones (Michael) of Cullman, Lara Carr (Brad) of Anniston, Bart Street (Jennifer) of Greenville, SC, Kristin Wade Lovvorn, Brittany Wade Waugh (Jono), and Blake Wade, all of Oxford, Michael Watts (Tanya) of Oxford, Gayle Kozinski of Jacksonville, Justin Wade of Oxford, Stephanie Homesley of Jacksonville, and Courtney Shirley of Oxford; 17 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Humphrey of Gadsden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Connor Rains, Bart Street, Jim Williams, Ryen Valentine, Brad Carr, and Jack Holbrook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church, P.O.
