Glenn K.  Chess
Glenn K. Chess of Lake Road, Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) went to be with the Lord at 11:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his residence following a period of failing health. He was 90.

Glenn was born in Sandy Creek Twp. on April 29, 1923 a son of the late Enoch and Bird (Williams) Chess. He was a lifelong farmer on the family farm in Sandy Creek Twp. having retired in 1985. His main goal in life was to live a life for Jesus. On Sept. 16, 1952 he married his lovely wife, the former Ada V. Dishong who survives. He was a member of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, Greenville.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a son, Roger G. Chess and his wife Kimmy of Hadley, 4 grandchildren, Sam Chess of Greenville, Amy McLaughlin and her husband Chris of North Dakota, Shawn Knauf of Greenville and Robert Knauf of Tamp, Florida. 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent and 2 sisters, Anna May Hoyt and Winifred Caldwell.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church and the Rev. Russell Dunn, Retired officiating. The committal service and the interment will follow at the Stevenson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm and are invited to share condolences and memories online at www.rlsfh.com.
