Obituary for Loraine Mildred Reiling (Zollner)

Loraine Mildred  Reiling (Zollner)
Loraine died at the age of 95, after an extended illness. She has lived for the past several years at Silver Creek Memory Unit of Woodburn, Oregon where she loved and was loved by many of the residents and caregivers. Her children will miss her.

Parents: Benjamin (Ben) F. and Frances B. Bronkey Zollner. Loraine’s Great
Grandfather was Robert Zollner. He arrived by wagon train circa 1867 and
was one of the founding fathers of Mt. Angel, Oregon.

Loraine graduated from Silverton High School in 1935. In 1937 she married
Thomas G. Reiling at St. Paul Catholic Church in Silverton.They moved to various towns in Oregon because of her husband’s occupation, but eventually moved to
Portland, Oregon.

She was a school secretary at Elliot Grade School, Portland School District and retired after many years.
The love of her life was traveling in their motor home, spending winters in Arizona
and summers fishing at their lot on Decca Lake B.C. Canada and fishing the Rogue and Crooked River.

Loraine is survived by her son: Gen. Keith Reiling and wife Hallie, grandsons, Kinkead, Clay and Rhett Reiling, great grandson Griffin and great granddaughters, Lucia and Mackenzie.
Daughter: Pat Stolley and husband Gary, granddaughter Kelly Simon, grandson Scott Stolley and great granddaughter Morgan Simon.

She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Monte.

Funeral Mass will be held May 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church
at Silverton, Oregon.
Interment at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery at Silverton, Oregon
