Riga: May 18, 2011 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his parents, Michael & Marion George; sister, Dorothy Paul. Survived by his wife of 29 years, who will forever hold him in her heart, Carol George; children, Debbie George, Dr. Paul (Karen) George & David (Lori) George, Ron Rogers & Randy Rogers; grandchildren, Nicholas George, Sara George, David Paul George & Sam Procopio; brother-in-law, Jack Paul; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins. Paul was retired after 40 years in the insurance business; his successes included serving as a National Director of Sales. He was a kind & generous human being, who reached out unselfishly to meet the needs of others. Paul served as a National Board Member for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for 23 years and remained exceedingly proud of their growth and accomplishments. He was a great sports enthusiast who excelled as both a player and a coach. Paul originated from Utica, NY where he was involved in the Utica Sports Boosters, hosted the appearance of Danny Thomas, and was active in many organizations. In 1986 the Rochester, NY area became his home. Paul was a lover of music & film, with Al Jolson, Frank Sinatra & James Cagney among his favorites. Paul's greatest joy was derived from home & family. Paul's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Nurses and Doctors of the ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care they delivered.

Please join Paul's family in a celebration of his life, beginning at 1PM on Saturday (today) at his home, 151 Malloch Rd in Riga. Donations may be sent to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in Paul's memory.
