Obituary for Mary Nogas (Todaro)

Mary  Nogas (Todaro)
Mary (Todaro) Nogas, 95, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (January 29, 2013). She was born August 5, 1917 in Windham the daughter of the late Joseph and Palma (Attardo) Todaro. Prior to her retirement in 1981, Mary was employed for 32 years at G. F. Heublein Company. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary enjoyed music and taught herself how to play the accordion, guitar and piano. She is survived by and will be missed by her daughters MaryAnn Garbeck of Granby, Alice Robitaille and her husband Clifford of Wethersfield, and Sandy Hatcher and her husband Timothy of Cromwell; a brother Joseph Todaro and his wife Sarah of Wethersfield; her grandchildren, Mickey Garbeck, Suzanne O'Connell, Kenneth Robitaille, Daniel Robitaille, Kelly Spada and Jason and J.R. Hatcher; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Phillip, Salvatore, and Anthony; her sisters Virginia Denson and Carmela Aukstolis; and her son-in-law Michael Garbeck.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. For online expressions of sympathy to the family, please visit www.desopo.com.
