Ms. Linda Arlene Haney, age 68, of 107 Hooper Avenue, Lindale, passed away on Friday morning, August 31, 2012, at her residence.

Ms. Haney was born in Rome, Georgia on June 14, 1944, daughter of the late Frank Haney and the late Ola Gossett Haney. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy Haney and Frank Haney, Jr. Ms. Haney worked for the Rome Coca Cola Bottling Company and associated plants for 11 years. She also worked for Hostess Bakery for 4 years before they closed the Rome location. Ms. Haney retired form the State of Georgia Child Support Enforcement Agency where she worked for 11 years.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Ms. Jeanette Haney, Lindale, and Mrs. Glennis Elliott, and her husband, Stephen, Conyers; 3 brothers, Ralph Haney, and his wife, Betty, Euharlee, Larry Haney, Lindale, and Arlie Haney, Rome; 2 great nieces that lived with her, Rachel Coker and Jennifer Hogue; 12 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great nephew also survives.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 11am at the graveside in Wax Cemetery. The Rev. Dewey Atchley will officiate.
