Obituary for Harold Knox

Harold Knox, proud man, married to his lovely wife of 53 years passed away peacefully at the Rapelje Lodge, Welland on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the age of 88 years. He was born in Maniwaki Quebec in 1923. Mr. Knox had worked at I.N.C.O. for 38 years before retiring as a divisional foreman working in both Ontario and Manitoba divisions. He then consulted in Europe and Canada for six years. He was a member of the Canadian Corps, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56, Port Colborne and St. Patrick’s Church in Port Colborne.He is the beloved husband of Joyce Knox. Dear father of Linda Lou (Bill) McGarry of Logan Lake, Barbara (Ken) Evason of Wisconsin, Wayne Knox of British Columbia, Linda Grace Walker of Kamloops, Bonnie Duquette of Winnipeg, Donna Duquette of Vancouver, Cindy (Willard) Haffner of Semans , Saskatchewan. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also survived and sadly missed by his sister Florence Leduc as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William and Anonciade Knox and his brothers and sisters Laura Cecire, Laurette Lacroix, Bill Knox, Lillian Knox and Romeo Knox. The Knox Family will receive visitors at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne on Tuesday July 10, 2012 from 7 -9 p.m as well as Wednesday July 11, 2012 from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment of ashes at Mt.
