Obituary for Reverend Peter E. Puleo

The Reverend Peter E. Puleo, 62 of Herkimer, a Schuyler native, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born December 29, 1944 in Utica, the son of the late Peter E. & Grace (Harris) Puleo. Peter was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 1962, and received his Associates Degree from Mohawk Valley Community College. He also attended Utica College. The Reverend Puleo was pastor of New Way Fellowship Church in Norway, NY, and also was a member of Mt. Zion Ministry Church, Inc. in Utica. Peter also traveled throughout Holland, England, India, Africa and the United States, with his traveling ministry touching thousands of people?s hearts and lives. Peter was a loving and devoted brother and uncle. He was a very caring person whose priorities in life were God and his family. Survivors include three sisters, Amelia Trombley and husband Everett, Jr., of Ilion, Thelma Putnam and husband James David of Frankfort, and Florence Lowe and husband Donald of Ilion, a brother-in-law, Arthur Bunce of West Winfield, his nieces & nephews, Mark Bunce of Schuyler and Janet Bunce of Frankfort, James Putnam and wife Wendy of Frankfort, & Christine Coniguliaro and husband Joseph of Sauquoit, Donny Lowe and wife Justina of Ilion & Lisa Watkins and husband Joshua of Ilion, several great nieces & great nephews, and many aunts, uncles & cousins. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Evelyn Bunce on July 18, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 14, 2007 at 4:00 pm at Mt. Zion Ministries Church Inc., Herkimer Road, Utica. Friends & relatives may call at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street, (between Ilion & Frankfort) on Saturday January 13, 2007 from 4-8 pm. Final committal services for Peter will be held in the spring. All memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Ministries Church, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
