Nellie Grace Ulrich, age 96, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born October 23, 1913 at Friend, Kansas the daughter of Ira J. and Pearl M. Abbott Stover. A lifetime Finney County resident, she attended the Kansas School of Business in Wichita in the 1930's and later worked as a bookkeeper for the JC Penny store in Garden City for many years.
She was a member of the Garden City Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano at church and spending time and playing games with her children and grandchildren.
On June 18, 1939 she married Chester Irvin Ulrich in Garden City, Kansas. He died March 21, 1975 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors Include: Two Sons, Larry Fred Ulrich of Holcomb, Kansas and Richard Ira Ulrich of Garden City, Kansas; One Brother, Robert Stover of Muskegon, Michigan; Nine Grandchildren, Nineteen Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son, Chester William "Bill" Ulrich, a grandson, Bryan Ulrich, and 3 brothers, Lloyd, Harold & Raymond Stover.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 23, 2010 in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Chad Ulrich presiding.
Friends may call from 1:00-8:00pm Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
