Richard C. "Rick" Bowsher, 52, of Beach Park, IL died on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.

Rick was born January 11, 1959 in Chicago and lived most of his life in Waukegan. He was employed at Great Lakes Naval Base as a Tradesman. Rick enjoyed walking on the beach, reading, rock and roll music and going to concerts.

Survivors include his children Marcus Bowsher of Elgin, IL, Samantha Raasch-Bowsher of Zion, IL, and Daniel Raasch-Bowsher of Beach Park, IL; mother Judith Marks of St. Germain, WI; step-father Robert E. Bowsher of Indianapolis, IN; father Roger Carleton White of DesPlaines, IL; sisters Kimberlee (Robert) Bowsher-Ageloff of Darien, CT, Kerry (Robert) Bowsher-Perry of Albuquerque, NM, and Kristin (R.J.) Bowsher-Howard of Salem, WI; and grandmother Roberta Hokanson of Eagle River, WI.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marcus Hokanson, Selma and Jesse White, and Anna Belle and Jim Riley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2012, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for the college education of his children, c/o PNC Bank, 2900 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099 have been suggested.
