Ronald Alfred “Ron” Davis, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, with his loving family and friends at his side. Born in Chicago, IL, on October 15, 1937, Ron was the son of the late Alfred and Viola (Archer) Davis. He spent most of his childhood in Genoa City, and Kenosha, where he graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1957. Ron then entered an apprenticeship, which he later mastered as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, and worked for over thirty years at the AMC and Chrysler plants. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman with great admiration for nature and dogs, which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. His hunting excursions almost always included his childhood friends, Phil Limbach and Dean Ohmstead, as well as Harold Holman, Howard Britten, and Wayne Morris. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Bode) Davis; two daughters, Diane (Clint) Nelson and Cheryl Davis; three step daughters, Nikki and Elizabeth Alcalay, and Jacqueline Henricksen; son-in-law, Kreston Peckham; eight grandchildren, Kyle Peckham, August and Logan Siebert, Collin Alcalay, Brandel and Makaya Gordon, Caelon Henricksen, and Frankie Jones; two great-grandchildren, Maliyah Gordon, and Kennedy Hargrove; sister-in-law, Virginia (Pinky) Davis; nephew, George “Steven” (Lynn) Davis; two nieces, Robin Rucker and Jennifer Davis; great-niece, Rachel Davis; and two great-nephews, Ridge Rucker and Wyatt Davis. Ron was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Colleen Peckham; brother, George Davis; and former wife, Patricia Hutchinson. Visitation for Ron will be held on Saturday, July 1st, at Proko Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
