Doreen M. Sullivan Pierson

Robbinsville-Doreen Sullivan-Pierson loving mother and wife, wonderful sister and daughter passed into eternal rest on June 21, 2017. Resident of Robbinsville, NJ, Doreen worked for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District for over 20 years as lead nutritionist and manager of food services for the township's school system. She was a leader in the successful drive to serve healthier and fresh food to school children. She grew up in Edison, NJ attending Bishop Ahr High School (formerly St. Thomas Aquinas) and then graduating from West Virginia University and subsequently earning a Master’s Degree in nutrition. She will best be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, contagious love of life, many house parties filled with happiness and neighborhood children and loyalty to family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Daniel Sullivan and she leaves behind her mother Anne Sullivan, her husband William Pierson, daughter, Annie Pierson, son, John Pierson; sister Diane Sullivan and her husband, William Ricigliano; sister Dawn Sullivan-Baliko and her husband, Don Baliko; brother-in-law Richard Pierson and his wife Linda; sister-in-law Debbie Higgins and her husband Stephen; and brother-in-law Patrick Pierson; and many extended loving family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ. The viewing will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Cremation will follow mass and will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation @pkdcure.org.
