Najib Yousif Gulla was born May 9, 1943 in Alqosh, Iraq, and died June 21, 2017 in Troy, Michigan.  He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Awatif Hindy Gulla, and four devoted children; Nahid Yousif, Aida Monteith (John), Newjen Yousif (Lindsay), and Nada Mickles (Johnny).  He is also survived by his seven grandchildren who are the loves of his life (Christopher, Christina, Brandon, Joseph, Jacinta, Natasha and Jadan), and five brothers (Habib, Hazim, Saied, Shawket, and Hikmat).  Najib had a heart of gold and helped anyone in need; he also loved to laugh and had an amazing sense of humor.  He was also a very talented artist who specialized in woodcarving and loved to play the Oud.  Najib is a highly loved and respected man, who will be greatly missed
