Mrs. Christine Marie (Spencer) Ellis, age 50, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on August 8, 1966 in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of, Tony and Brenda Marie (Grubb) Finley. She was a 1984 graduate of the Judson High School in Converse, Texas. She was inducted into the United States Army on August 9, 1984 and was discharged with the rank of Private on August 1, 1985. Christine was united in marriage on December 7, 1990 to Alan Wayne Ellis at the Vevay American Legion Post #185 in Vevay, Indiana. She was employed as a cook for the Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana. Christine was later employed for Deaton's Market in Warsaw, Kentucky and for Circle K in Markland, Indiana. Christine resided in the Switzerland County community for several years. Christine enjoyed her dogs, cooking and listening to music. Christine passed away at 9:50 am, Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Christine will be dearly missed by her husband: Alan Wayne Ellis of Florence, IN; her parents: Tony and Brenda Marie (Grubb) Finley; her brother: James Lee Finley and his wife: Wendy of Mountain Park, OK. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 26, 2017, at 11:00 am, by Bro. Roy Duckworth at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road Madison, Indiana 47250. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
