Obituary for George Laundria

George Laundria
George E. Laundria, 68, of West Hartford, husband of the late Harriett (Dinovellis) Laundria died Thursday (February 14, 2008), at home. Born in Winsted he was the son of the late Mary (Marek) Laundria Gorman. He was a retired manager of A.C. Peterson Farms, West Hartford retiring after more than 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a devout member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and loved to golf with his brother. George enjoyed refinishing furniture, his vegetable garden and was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by three brothers; Joseph Laundria of East Windsor, Frank Laundria and his wife Alma of East Hartford and John Gorman and his wife Sandy of East Granby, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Charles LeCourt of Troutman, NC and Maxine and Kris Kaszubowski of East Windsor, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, two brothers-in-law Andrew Manzi and Peter Dinovellis and his wife Beth and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Laundria and Mary Ann Gorsline. He is also survived by his very cherished friend, Mary Anne (O'Connor) Salemi of Haddam. The funeral is Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield with full military honors. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
