Obituary for Angelo Peluso

Angelo Peluso
Angelo Peluso, 63, of Kensington, beloved husband of Sally (Gratta) Peluso, his wife and best friend, died Sunday, (November 4, 2007) at home surrounded by his loving family. Angelo was born July 17, 1944, in Sepino, Italy, a son of the late Carmine and Cristina (Tiberio) Peluso. Angelo and his brothers, John and Luigi, have owned and operated the Parma Restaurant in Glastonbury (formerly of Hartford) for more than 30 years. Angelo took great pride in working hard and running the restaurant and most of his customers, he considered friends. He served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division, during the Vietnam War. Angelo was a faithful NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Joseph and Mary Rose Duberek of Tolland, Lawrence and Emy Duberek of Coventry and Cindy and Douglas Rusczyk of Portland. Angelo was a great mentor and role model to his children. His strong character instilled courage, strength, and determination in each of them. Nothing gave Angelo more joy than his grandchildren, Gianna and Jordan Duberek and Cristina and Joseph Rusczyk and he was looking forward to a grandson arriving soon. His mother-in-law, Grace Gratta of Meriden who he loved very dearly, also survives Angelo. All who knew Angelo will forever miss him, especially his dog Kris, who lay by his side throughout his courageous battle with cancer. Angelo will always be remembered for his profound sense of love and family loyalty. Sundays, his only day off, were always considered his special day for spending time with family. He also leaves his brothers, Anthony and his wife Pasqualina Peluso, John Peluso, Luigi and Grace Peluso and his sister Filomena DiGiacomo, all of West Hartford; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda Massicotte, Diane and James Cuccaro, and Paul and Pamela Gratta, all of Meriden; special friends Louise and Joseph DiGiovanni of Meriden and many nieces and nephews. His sister, Pasqualina and her husband Richard Sevigny predeceased him. Funeral services will leave Wednesday, November 7, at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Avenue, Elmwood.
