Mae Cuiffo

Mae A. Cuiffo, 95, a longtime resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. Mae was born on August 6, 1921 in Port Chester, NY, daughter to the late Paul and Annmarie Greco Bochicchio. Mae retired in 1995 after 40+ years of employment with the City of Stamford Board of Education. She was an avid golf fan. Mae is survived by her daughter JoAnne C. Remling of Stamford, and her son Albert A. and his wife Jean Ciuffo of Danbury. Her brother Rocco Bochicchio of Stamford. Mae is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; granddaughter Nicole Japha, grandsons Christopher and Ryan Ciuffo, great-granddaughter Peyton Japha. A daughter-in-law Diane Williamson of Danbury, along with several nieces and nephews also survive her. Besides her parents Mae is predeceased by her beloved husband Albert P. Cuiffo. Her two sisters Susan Andrewgetti, and Beatrice Cassara. Her three brothers Daniel, Vito, and Angelo Bochicchio. She is also predeceased by a son-in-law Gary D. Remling. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Bridget’s of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford, Mass will be followed by a procession to the St. John Mausoleum, Darien CT. In lieu of flower’s donations can be made in Mae Cuiffo’s Memory to the Alzheimer Association (CT Chapter) 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
