Palmer Lopez, 74, of Evans, CO passed away June18, 2017 in Greeley, CO. He was born April 18, 1943 in Phoenix, AZ to Francisco and Martina (Padilla) Lopez. Palmer was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a man who was loved by many and a friend to all. His family is thankful for his words of wisdom, gentle spirit and the loving way he lived. He will be forever missed. He served in the United States Army from 1965-1967 during the Vietnam conflict. Palmer loved working with his hands, the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and the Greeley Grays, he enjoyed going to Black Hawk, celebrating his birthday, family gatherings, and just being with people. Palmer loved to cook Mexican food, especially his famous salsa. He also loved his dog, Naomi. He received his Associates Degree in Graphic Arts, from Aims Community College and was employed with Aims upon graduation. He worked in the Reprographics Department as Senior Press Operator and retired in 2007. He continued working at Aims part time until he fully retired in 2014. Palmer is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Ronda (Tom) Medina, Kelly (Andy) Cordova; stepson’s Kevin (Trish) Gibson and Keith Gibson; grandchildren, Brooke Martinez, Cody Martinez, Tommy Medina, Jr., Noah Cordova, Brooke Cordova, Drew Cordova, Michael Cordova and Kailey Pauls; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Sarah) Lopez, Rico (Maxine) Lopez, Arnulfo (Leina) Lopez and Sam (Viola) Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joanne; sister, Jenny Garcia; brothers, Augustine, Edward, Mario, Ynez, Dave, George, Charles and Samuel and grandson, Ryan Martinez. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Adamson. Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 a.m Friday, June 23, 2017 followed by 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial both at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Ave. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
