Jack Bussey
Jack Richard Bussey, 88, of Greeley, CO passed away on June 6, 2017 at Tru-Hospice of Northern Colorado, North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born to Walter and Agnes (Carnahan) Bussey on April 3, 1929 in New Raymer, CO and graduated from New Raymer High School in 1947. On Sept. 6, 1948 Jack married Irene Kloberdanz and they have enjoyed 68 years of marriage and raised four children together. He was employed by Stickney's, Inc. of Sterling, CO; Torrington, WY; and Scottsbluff, NE from 1948 to 1955. From 1955 to 1968 Jack worked for Camberland Pipeline as an oil gauger and from 1968 to 1990 as a serviceman for Kansas-Nebraska Gas Company. He retired in 1990. Hunting, fishing and boating were his hobbies and he was a dry-land wheat farmer all of his life near Stoneham, CO. After 46 years, Jack and Irene moved from Scottsbluff to Greeley. They traveled extensively in their RV and wintered in Arizona for several years. Jack was a lifetime member of the Scottsbluff, NE Elks Lodge #1367. He is an honorary member of the Torrington Wyoming Volunteer Fire Department. Jack is survived by his wife, Irene Bussey of Greeley; children, Dr. Randy Bussey (Carol) of Greeley, Sharon Walters of Colorado Springs, CO, Rick Bussey (Bonnie) of Bellevue, WA, and Sharol McCormick of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Elizabeth Oberholtzer, Dr. Mary Murati (Mike), Jackie Chambers (Cody), Alisa Jackson (Noah), Abigail Bussey and Adam Bussey; great grandchildren, Faith Chambers, Samantha Chambers and Isla Murati; and a loving extended family. He was prededed in death by his parents and Clyde Bussey, his brother. Jack's Life Celebration will include, Visitation 5-7 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7p.m. both on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Adamson Chapel; Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church; and Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
