Jim was born on October 24, 1926, in Bowlesville Twp, IL, to Gordon and Beulah (Hatcher) Ozee. He attended high school in Bethany, and married Evelyn Sutton in Bethany on January 11, 1950. Jim served in the Army Air Corps in the Asiatic/Pacific Theater and was discharged in December of 1946. Jim and Evelyn moved from Decatur, IL, to Fort Collins in 1972. Jim was a salesman for farm and heavy construction equipment; and was an equipment operator for C.D.O.T. In his later years, Jim was an avid golfer—particularly at Cattail Creek in Loveland—and enjoyed bowling, and a good poker game. He was previously active in the B.P.O.Elks and VFW.
Evelyn passed away in 2004. Jim is survived by three children: Dennis (Barbara) Ozee of Windsor, CO; Angie Healy of Ludington, MI; and Jody (Dave) Lenort of Fort Collins, CO.
