Jan Snijder

Snijder, Jan (John). On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, The Lord called unto Himself from the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, his child Jan Snijder one day short of his 76th birthday. John was the beloved husband of Johanna (te Raa) for 52 years. Dear father of Chris of Stroud, Harry and Sally of Essex, Carolyn and Bob Brown of Ancaster, Danielle and Matthew Ford of Toronto and Monique Snyder of Townsend. Loving opa of Alex and Cody Virag, Madelynn and Erika Snyder; Alexander, Wesley and Faythe Brown; Wynn and Lucas Gallagher. Brother of Harry and Martina Snijder and seven sisters and two sisters-in-law all of the Netherlands. Jan and Johanna emigrated from The Netherlands in 1979 and were welcomed into the Keunen family of Caistor Centre, Drayton and Grimsby area. Friends are invited to call at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 139 Talbot St. E., Jarvis on Friday 2-4 6-8 p.m. Following a family interment service at Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, a Funeral Service will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Donations to Jarvis Community Christian School (JCCS), Hamilton District Christian High School (HDCH) or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) would be appreciated by the family.
