To the Jelden family, my wife Lisa and I just want to express our condolences for the loss of Dr. Jelden. He was a very special man to me, from my high school years to visiting with him during morning coffee at Toddy’s. I also had the opportunity to work with him while he and I were at UNC. He used to tell me to stop calling him Dr. Jelden when we were at Toddy’s, but I had too much respect for him and just could not call him Dave, so I stated calling him Dr. J. I guess he thought that was all right. He was a great man and will be truly missed. We are sorry that we did not find out about his passing sooner, or we would have been at the services. Just know that Lisa and I have your family in our prayers. God bless you.
