Elizabeth Stark Faust, age 83, of Johnson City, TN, formerly of DeRidder, LA passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

She was a native of Merryville, LA and had lived most of her life in Louisiana and for several years in Johnson City, TN. She was a graduate of McNeese State University and had a Master's degree from LSU. She worked as a legal secretary and a bank secretary before going back to school to finish her education degree. She taught business at Washington Parish Vocational Technology School, where she retired from teaching. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Charles Faust of Johnson City, TN, a daughter Candace and her husband Steven Saucier of Florence, AL, and a son Charles and his wife Melody of Johnson City, TN. Survivors also include seven grandchildren: Daryn McNutt of Houston; Brittney Wayman and husband Bobbie of Lawton, OK; Andre Saucier and wife Heidi of Oklahoma City, OK; Michelle Saucier of Lafayette, LA; Chuck Faust of Nashville, TN; Hans Faust and wife Sara of Johnson City, TN; Heidi Faust of Johnson City TN; as well as seven great grandchildren. She was the youngest of 8 children and is also survived by a brother David of Franklin, LA; a sister Mary of DeRidder, LA; and a sister Naomi of Baton Rouge, LA.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, TN on Sunday September 25th at 4:00 pm. Another memorial service at the First Baptist Church, DeRidder, LA and interment in DeRidder, LA will occur at a later date.
