Wayne L. Dickinson, 70, of 257 38th St. Dr. SE, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at his home, following a sudden illness. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Tim Smith.

Survivors include five sons, Roger Dickinson and wife Kathy of Cedar Rapids, Scott Dickinson and wife Linda of Raleigh, North Carolina, Chris Dickinson and wife Lori of Cincinnati, Ohio, Shawn Dickinson of Mason City and Shane Dickinson of Britt; a brother, Jim Dickinson and wife Karen of Keota; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his ex-wives, Leah Brouwer and Diane Ipsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Maryanna Phillipson.

Wayne was born June 8, 1932, the son of Wayne E. and Dorothy (Clark) Dickinson in Des Moines. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Wayne worked for Rockwell Collins as a Contact Administrator, retiring in 1988.

A memorial fund has been established in Wayne’s memory.
