Worth, Texas; his grandmothers, Ruth Johnson and Pearl Perry of Cedar Rapids; his nieces and nephew, Chelsea, Alexis and Lauren Johnson and Kasey and Jordan Calbow; cousins and many friends.

Michael was born September 23, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He moved to Florida in his early teens with his family. From then on, his heart was torn between the love of his family, in Iowa, and his beloved "ocean”. Mike worked hard at several occupations before enjoying his 16 years of commercial fishing in Marathon, Florida. Wherever he would go, Michael made lasting friendships who always kept "in touch”. His free spirit and genuine caring for people, especially his nieces and nephew, and love for his Lord and Savior will never be forgotten.
