David Douglas Meyer, of Greeley, CO, passed away Friday, August 29, 2003. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2003 at Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO.David was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, November 15, 1955 to Douglas Meyer and Barbara (Berg) Repertinger. He graduated from high school in Marshalltown and played on the varsity basketball team where he earned All-State honors. He did his undergraduate work at Utah State where he played basketball. His team from Utah State played in the NIT tournament in 1976. David graduated from UNC with a degree in Elementary Education in 1983. He married Michelle Edelen in October 1994 in Fort Collins and Jean Buck in December 1980 in Marshalltown, Iowa, from which he was later divorced.He worked at K-Mart in Greeley for 20 years.He loved riding his bike and enjoyed the mountains and loved playing basketball. He also enjoyed fishing, his two cats, Shadow and Kika and cherished time with his son, Jonathan.David is survived by his mother, Barbara Repertinger his sons Jonathan and Nicholas Meyer, sisters Nancy Meyer-Davis and Kathy Drey, his aunt Sharon Richter and nephew Ryan Dehl and niece Kelsey Meyer-Davis. His father and grandparents precede him in death.
