Cesario  Trejo, Jr.
Cesario Trejo, Jr., 81, of Greeley, CO, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at North Colorado Medical Center.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2006, at the Macy Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Cesario was born September 22, 1924 in Linn, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Cesario Trejo, Sr.Cesario attended Edinburg High School and married Mary Deleon on March 12, 1949 in Edinburg. He lived in Greeley since 1959.He attended junior college in Edinburg with a focus on veterinary science and then attended barber school. He was a rancher and a dairy farmer in Hudson, Keenesburg, Kersey, Greeley and Galeton. He worked for REA in Texas and was also self-employed in lawn maintenance.Cesario joined the service when he was 17 and served during World War II. He served in the U. S. Navy, Army and Army Air Corps in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres. His last tour was in Europe as a tail gunner with the 367th Bomb Squadron, 306th Bomb Group and the 40th Bomb Wing. He received the Bronze Star as well as several other medals. He believed in discipline and encouraged his children to obtain their educations. He was devout Christian and had a strong faith in God. He was a very traditional Hispanic, especially with his family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with his family, hunting, following politics and debating amongst others and was a devout Democrat until the end. He loved to show respect and be respected and enjoyed meeting new people.Surviving Cesario are his wife, Mary Trejo, of Greeley, CO; sons, William Ralph Trejo of Greeley, CO, Jack D. Trejo and wife, Rebecca, of Mead, CO, and Harson York Trejo and wife, Patricia, of Greeley, CO; daughters, Jean Trejo of Greeley, CO and Peggy and husband, Larry Coryell, of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Cesario Trejo, III and wife, Lupe, of Linn, TX; sisters, Leonore Casas of Edinburg, TX and Anita Garcia of Portland, OR; and five grandchildren.His parents, brothers, Robert and Amado Trejo, sisters, Amalia Glidewell and Francesca Casas and daughter, Betty Trejo and nephew, Anthony Coryell preceded him in death.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Allnutt May Chapel, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
