Esther  Meisner
Esther Meisner, 88, of Greeley, CO, passed away Monday, April 17, 2006 at Life Care Center of Greeley one day before her 89th birthday.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Macy Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Esther was born April 18, 1917 to Jacob and Charlotte (Miller) Miller in LaSalle, CO.She attended school in Gill and Kersey. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Congregational Church.On January 26, 1936 she married Fred Meisner, Jr., and they farmed in Lucerne, Barnesville, Kuner and Wellington, Colorado. They bought their farm in Wellington in January 1960. Her husband, Fred, died in 1977. She moved to Greeley in 1983. She loved to work in her yard and spend time with her family. Church was an important part of her life, and she attended St. Paul's Congregational Church. Surviving Esther are her daughters, Shirley Lorenz of Greeley, CO and Gail Castor of Wellington, CO; son, Gene Meisner of Wellington, CO; sisters, Mary White, Helen Rothe, and Ella Peppler all of Greeley, CO, Leona Gibbs of Ashland City, TN and Bernice Miller of Thornton, CO; brothers, Jake Miller and Lee Miller of Gill, CO; grandchildren, Jerry Meisner of Fort Collins, CO and Karen Lindesmith of Daring, KS; and four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Freida Heberline and Clara Stroh, and brother, Conrad Miller.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 806631.
