Obituary for Michael Leland Goodwine

Michael Leland  Goodwine
Michael Goodwine, 61, of Loveland passed away April 25 in Fort Collins. He was born on August 28, 1944 to Clifford Goodwine and Alvena Hall Goodwine in Greeley, CO. He grew up in Grover, CO and went on to complete his Journeyman pipefitter apprenticeship in Ft. Collins and Denver. He retired after 35 years of work in the Union. Michael was a resident of Loveland for over 30 years. He was previously married to Margee (Knuppel) Geyer. He married Patty Goodwine on July 8, 1977 in Ft. Collins, CO. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Played softball, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and especially fly fishing. He was a team roper, avid golfer and loved spending time with his friends, horses and dog. Michael's motto in life was work hard and play hard. Two of his biggest prides were his grandsons and he loved spending time with them. He is survived by his wife Patty Goodwine of Loveland; his mother Alvena Goodwine of Cheyenne, WY; daughters Michelle Goodwine of Ft. Collins, CO; Shannon (Drew) Sheesley of Ft. Collins; Heidi Goodwine of Loveland; brothers Dennis (Max) Goodwine of Cheyenne, WY; Stanley (Pam) Goodwine of Rochester, NY; sisters Violet Goodwine of Thermopolis, WY; Diana (Kenny) Fietner of Kimball, NE; 2 grandsons Jack and Luke; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Goodwine and brother Clifford Goodwine Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on April 28 at Allnutt Hunter Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Library in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80538. Cremation will take place.
