Russ and I go so far back, I still think of him as "Rusty," my teammate on the Boxers, our 9-year-old Little League baseball team in Fort Collins. He brought that up each time we saw each other after high school, at Rocky Mountain reunions, most recently a couple of summers ago. He was a fun and funny guy, and I am so saddened to find out he is gone.
