Mr. Carroll Homer Osborn, 83, passed away on June 10, 2011 at CMC-Union.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Osborn was the son of the late Don Richard and Lula Roland Osborn. He was a graduate of Indiana University and President of Union Plastics Company. During his career, he patented many manufacturing processes, and was recognized as one of the longest active members of the American Chemical Society. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra N. Osborn; three children: Rosemary O. Britt and husband Harold of Marshville, William Osborn of Marshville, and Elizabeth Osborn Sims of Suwanee, Ga.; five grandchildren: Justin Sims, Sandra Strickland, Richard Strickland, Kaitlyn Osborn and Robert Britt. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Richard, Don and Jim Osborn.
