The family of René Hetu announces his passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the age of 53. René was predeceased by his father Alphonse in 2002. He is survived by his spouse Sharon; children Daniel (Melanie) Hétu and Nicole (Marvin) Simon; grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Jordan and Isabelle. René is also survived by his mother Eva Hétu; siblings Phillip (Monique) Desilets, Pierrette Caron, Murielle Lortie, Rosalie (Laurent) Charbonneau, Paulette (Roland) Ouellette, Marianne (Gerry) Widdifield and Stephane Hetu; mother in law Evelyn Renaud, sister in law Marlene (Pete) Petit and brother in law Jeff Renaud. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Monette & French Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. René will be laid to rest in the St-Laurent Cemetery in Ramore. Donations in René’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
