Randy Jo Acree, 59, of Muncie, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital.

Randy was born June 18, 1951 in Muncie, IN to Joseph and Mary Acree. He was a 1969 graduate of Monroe Central High School. He was self-employed and worked in construction and small engines. He attended Bible Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and tinkering on anything with an engine.

Randy is survived by his mother, Mary Acree of Muncie; two children, Dewayne Acree (wife Krista) of Fortville and Jamie Acree of Fortville; His companion of 17 years, Debbie Holiday of Muncie; seven grandchildren; four siblings, Diana Watt of Farmland, Cathy McIntosh (husband Ron) of Muncie, Roger Acree (wife Becky) of Muncie, and Mark Acree (wife Debbie) of Muncie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Randy is preceded in death by his Father Joseph Acree; and a brother, Rodney Acree.

A funeral service to celebrate Randy’s life will be 1pm Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home at 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie, with Pastor Mark Acree and Pastor Lloyd Moles officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, north of Farmland.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4 to 8pm Monday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
