Obituary for Dorothy Louise Lowery (Sivert)

Dorothy L. Lowery, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Harvey Sivert, was born in Lawenceville, Illinois on May 29, 1917, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on January 7, 2011, at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 9 days.
She had lived in Stoddard County all of her life and had lived in Puxico the past 41 years. She enjoyed piecing and quilting guilts.
On March 30, 1935, she was married to Bacil Lowery in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1996.
Surviving are one son, Leo Lowery of Puxico, Missouri; two daughters, Shelba Sifford of Puxico, Missouri, Norma Baker of Lamar, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Eugene Lowery; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Hollis; and two brothers, Robert & Harry Sivert.
Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 10:00 AM in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Dennis Doublin of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
