Obituary for Richard Ryan Christopher

Richard R. “Dick” Christopher

Richard R. “Dick” Christopher died Monday, Dec. 26, in Camas. He was 74.
Richard was born March 7, 1931, in Camas. A lifelong resident of the Camas-Washougal area, he retired in 1985 after 36 years with Crown Zellerbach. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the United States Army and Washington State National Guard. He was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trail Blazers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Christopher and three brothers, John, David and Robert.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce; three sons, Richard and his wife Cheryl; and Ronald of Vancouver; and David and his wife Kenna of Washougal; two daughters, Bobbi and her husband, Richard Foster of Washougal and Cheryl and her husband, James McGuire of Woodland, Wash. He had 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request, there was no service. There will be a gathering of friends and family at Camas Friends Church on December 29, 2005 from 1 to 3 pm. Brown’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
