Peggy (PJ) Little Deeds, 74, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 12, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Joshua Hugh Deeds, parents, Herman and Myrtle Little, brother, Dickie Little, sister, Lorraine Burton and a sister-in-law, Shirley Little. Peggy was a dedicated volunteer worker at the Christian Soldiers Food Pantry. Surviving are her children, David Deeds, Terri Whitt, both of Roanoke; Tammy Thomasson and husband Randy of Stewartsville; Cathy Briggs and Julie Gillett and husband Dave all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Andy Deeds and wife Danielle, Donnie Deeds and wife Jenny, Kris Whitt and wife Janice, Amber Wright and husband Travis, Kendall Deeds and Anthony Proctor, Zachary Briggs and Kerry Crouch, Patrick Wright and Megan Sizemore, Mackenzie Gillett; twelve great grandchldren, brother, Danny Little of Roanoke; sisters, Joyce Floyd of Vinton; Mary Boitnott and husband Bobby of Stewartsville; special friends, Wayne cook, Becky Deeds, and Billy Whitt. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Christian Soldiers Food Pantry 728 A. Church Avenue S.E. Roanoke, Va. 24013. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2010 at 16th Street Baptist Church. A private family gathering will follow.
